Cat Bordhi's magical mobius

It has been a very long time since I posted. I have just come back from a weekend spent knitting in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, at the luxurious Jasper Park Lodge. A beautiful 5 star lodge hotel set in the even more beautiful Jasper National Park. Hosted by River City Yarns out of Edmonton, Alberta, Cat Bordhi taught us all about her incredible mobius and her special way of knitting socks. A wonderful teacher, she taught all weekend long, helping us all day long, and well into the evening. She is so patient and knowledgeable, and has a great way of explaining something in very simple terms.
Thank you Cat for a great experience.
Sorry for no links, I'm really tired so will post later when I have more time.

Still waiting

We are still waiting for baby, due on the 8th, we are all anxious to meet our new little one. Well not so little, untrasound says baby is about 10 lbs, we don't know if it's a boy or girl, hoping for a girl, but will be happy with healthy and soon. I have this great skein of pink bamboo waiting to be something for baby. Mom goes for induction tomorrow, they start slow, but it can't be soon enough. Will keep you posted.

Knit the Classics

I'm turning into such a joiner. I've just joined Knit the Classics. We read a classic novel and then create a knit or crochet project inspired from the book. I think there is a swap involved, but I'm not exactly sure how it works, will have to go over the blog site and make sure I'm following along.
Still haven't decided what to make for my secret pal. I create bead kntted items that I think she might like, but am tempted to make something from the book. Decisions decisions, what to do ?
I'm getting ready to send the July swap, I want to make some stitch markers, I've been inspired by all the great markers I've seen on the blogs.
Have a great Canada Day long weekend.

From my secret pal

Hey knitalie, thanks for the great skein of bamboo yarn. It is a beautiful hot pink. I've been eyeing the bamboo and wanting to try it. My daughter is expecting her first baby in a couple of weeks and we are all hoping for a girl, I have 3 grandson. This will make a perfect baby bolero, or petal bib, I can't wait!!
Thanks again knitalie, it is perfect.

I am participating in One Skein Secret Pal exchange. Haven't gotten anything yet, but am amazed at the great exchanges I have seen on the web site. Pals are very generous. I have sent my pal her gift and she said she liked it.
